About the Job

Hadrian - Manufacturing the Future

Hadrian is building autonomous factories that help aerospace and defense companies manufacture rockets, satellites, jets, and ships up to 10x faster and up to 2x cheaper. By combining advanced software, robotics, and full-stack manufacturing, we are reinventing how America produces its most critical parts.

We recently raised $260 million dollar Series C to accelerate this mission. We are excited to be launching a new Factory in Mesa, Arizona, a 270,000 square foot facility that will create 350 new jobs immediately. We are opening a new headquarters to support thousands of future hires, launching Hadrian Maritime to serve naval production, and introducing a Factory-as-a-Service model that delivers complete systems instead of individual parts.

Hadrian works with startups, Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers, and major defense contractors across space, shipbuilding, and aviation to scale production, reduce costs, and accelerate delivery on mission-critical programs. We are backed by leading investors including Lux Capital, Founders Fund, and Andreessen Horowitz. Our fast-growing team is united by a shared mission to reindustrialize American manufacturing for the 21st century and beyond!

The Role

Hadrian is building the world’s most advanced and automated factories across the US, and we're looking for a financial analyst to join our growing finance & accounting team as we scale nationwide and enter new product & service lines.

We need a dynamic FP&A analyst to oversee annual planning, forecasting, and monthly FP&A processes. This is a high visibility role, where you’ll work directly with our CFO and Director of Finance, and serve as a day-to-day finance partner to our GTM, Operations and Engineering Vice Presidents and leadership teams.

You will be challenged to think creatively and forecast non-linear operations for a high growth and variable product mix manufacturing company.

What You'll Do

  • Support annual operating plan (12-16 month operating budget plan), including all modeling, and reporting of performance to plan
  • Be an embedded finance partner to the VP’s and Leadership teams of our GTM, Engineering and Operations organizations
  • Forecast key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics, including spend and resource requirements for assigned business groups, such as headcount, capital, and operating expenses
  • Build automated applications / reports on top of our internally developed manufacturing software platforms to automate our financial forecasting, reporting and monthly close processes
  • Support month-end close, including preparation of materials for presentation to the executive team, the board of directors, lenders and investors
  • Conduct ad-hoc analyses as needed to make technical trades and support operational decision making, from new idea generation through to the implementation phase
  • Support technical trades and build vs. buy decisions
  • Develop and enhance tools to track revenue performance and incurred project costs on a monthly basis
  • Provide insight on revenue, spending variances, and department level reporting to business partners
  • Analyze financial results, understand key trends, assess current and future business risks and opportunities, and communicate insights
  • Create budget models for the GTM, Engineering, and Operations organizations tailored to their unique operations
  • Build ad-hoc analyses and dashboards that make data digestible and actionable for an executive audience

What We’re Looking For

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or Engineering
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a keen attention to detail
  • High level of curiosity and desire to learn new skills
  • Self-motivated and eager to get hands-on and tackle challenges independently while working collaboratively toward identified objectives
  • Well-developed verbal and written communication, collaboration, and time management skills
  • Experience with SQL and developing business intelligence dashboards
  • Intermediate accounting knowledge is a plus
  • Demonstrated capability to communicate analytical findings effectively, both verbally and in writing, to cross-functional teams
  • Can work from our Los Angeles Factory (Torrance)

Compensation

For this role, the target salary range is $120,000 - $135,000 (actual range may vary based on experience).

This is the lowest to highest salary we reasonably and in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. An employee's pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.

Benefits

  • 100% coverage of medical, dental, vision, and life insurance plans for employees
  • 401k
