A Prepared Foods & Deli Supervisor's tasks involve but are not limited to upholding food safety regulations, assisting with training and development of staff, ordering and inventory maintenance, taking orders, extended periods of time standing, serving customers in a counter-service environment, and preparing, packaging & stocking a variety of fresh foods.
This position requires availability that may include opening, midday, or closing shifts.
This is a full-time position requiring a minimum of 36 hours worked weekly.
Starting Wage: $16/hr
Negotiable based on experience
What You'll Do
- Provide outstanding customer service in a retail and counter-service environment
- Interact with customers and team members daily
- Prepare and stock a variety of fresh foods
- Demonstrate product knowledge
- Prepare hot and cold sandwiches daily
- Lift and carry up to 50 pounds regularly
- Contribution to a workplace culture built on inclusivity and collaboration
- Supervisory experience: leading, training, evaluating, uplifting, motivating, directing, documenting
- Strong communication and organization skills
- Verifiable work experience with excellent tenure and attendance
- Service counter and commercial kitchen experience preferred
- Demonstrated retail customer service experience and skills
- Familiarity with organic and natural foods
- Attention to detail and ability to efficiently perform assigned tasks
- Ability to read and speak English and perform basic arithmetic
