Junior Staff

Description

Assist Youth Development Professionals (YDPs) in the supervision and management of a Club member age group, which includes building positive relationships, supporting high-yield activities, and upholding member behavior expectations.

Hours will be 3:00-7:00 p.m. or 3:00-8:00 p.m., Monday-Friday, $13.75 per hour.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Must be a high school student and become a BGC Member.
• Must be between 14 – 18 years of age.
  
  

Skills, Knowledge, And Other Competencies

• Ability to effectively interact with youth.
• Ability to work as a team and to follow instructions.
• Ability to work with diverse populations.
  
  

Other Requirements

• Must complete BGCA work-place learning participant training.
  
  

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

The work environment characteristics described are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job.

• Occasionally operate electronic devices which may include a computer, tablet or printer.
• Must be able to remain in a stationary position at least 25% of the time, along with regular standing, walking, bending, and carrying objects.
• Ability to occasionally lift and move objects up to 30 pounds at one time.
• Frequently communicate with team members.
