The Process Technology Leader at our Corpus Christi, TX refinery plays a pivotal role in shaping both the operations and future direction of the site. This position offers a unique opportunity to broaden an engineering and leadership career by driving transformation in how the refinery operates, how it's configured, and how it competes in an evolving industry landscape.
Our Team
This role is a key leadership role within the Flint Hills Resources Project Capability and will work in the Process Design and Technology group based in the Corpus Christi Refinery. The Process Design Group has broad FHR responsibility, including broad technology ownership of both Corpus Christi and Pine Bend Refineries. The role reports to the Process Design & Technology Director.

The role reports to the Process Design & Technology Director.
What You Will Do
- Supervise and develop a team of senior process engineers engaged in all areas of process engineering (including but not limited to process design, project support, PHA’s, process control, and refinery process support)
- Responsible for technical and professional mentoring, performance management, and process design oversight for your team
- Communicate effectively across the Process Businesses on-site and various contributing Capabilities
- Independent thinking and ability to make difficult decisions
- Complex problem-solving and resolution capabilities
- Manage and prioritize multiple opportunities and priorities
- Leverage resources to create superior value
- Set objectives and communicate plans
- Bachelor of Science in Chemical Engineering
- Ten (10) years or more of process engineering or related work experience
- Experience with project development and economic justification
- Experience utilizing a phased/gated project execution model
- Experience leading teams and/or directing work
- Ten (10) years of engineering experience in the refining and/or chemical processing industry
