Job Summary:
The Recreation Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing a comprehensive recreation program to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our residents. This role is critical to enhancing quality of life and promoting resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Job Summary:
The Recreation Director is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing a comprehensive recreation program to meet the physical, emotional, cognitive, and social needs of our residents. This role is critical to enhancing quality of life and promoting resident engagement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement monthly activity calendars, including individual and group programs
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth event logistics
- Lead and supervise activities such as games, arts and crafts, exercise classes, outings, music therapy, and special events
- Recruit, train, and manage volunteers and activity aides
- Assess resident interests and needs through initial and ongoing assessments
- Maintain documentation of resident participation and program outcomes
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Decorate and set up for events and seasonal themes
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to encourage participation and feedback
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Therapeutic Recreation, Gerontology, or related field (preferred)
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a long-term care or senior living setting
- Strong organizational and leadership skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities
- Knowledge of person-centered care principles
Monday - Friday, 9:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
