Post and process journal entries
Assist in processing statistical and financial reports
Process billing claims, payments and producing corresponding reports.
Assist senior accountants in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings
Maintain billing and remittance files
Receive invoice and cash deposit/remittance data and maintain them for eventual processing.
Post aggregate deposits to corresponding cash account in the general ledger.
Prepare payment vouchers, including account distributions, in accordance with the Agency accounting guidelines.
Receive and file paid payment vouchers.
Generate checks in accordance with instructions; prepare payment packages for authorized check signer.
Maintain vendor files; receive and verify invoices, documents and authorizations.
Assist with purchasing functions and initiatives that result in the lowest possible cost for materials and services.
Assist in collecting and accounting for timekeeping records associated with each employee and determine that they are properly authenticated.
Assist in processing payroll.
Cooperate with the Agency and staff members during any inspection or investigation.
