VDA 6.3 Supplier Auditor–Automotive@ Mount Prospect, IL(1099 Contract)

Responsibilities:
Project Duration:
Multiple audits across various U.S. locations. Each audit averages 1.5 man-days (1 day on-site, 0.5 day for reporting).
Note: This is a 1099 contract role—project timelines vary based on client needs.
Shift Hours:
Typically standard business hours (approx. 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM local time).
Note: As a 1099 contractor, schedules may change depending on the assigned project.
Location:
Must be able to travel to Mount Prospect, IL. Future audits may be assigned in other IL areas.
- Conduct VDA 6.3 partial-scope audits (P5–P7) of Aptiv’s suppliers
- P5: Supplier Management
- P6: Production Process Analysis
- P7: Customer Support & Service
- Focus only on in-production suppliers using standard components
- Must have: VDA 6.3 Process Auditor Certification (issued by VDA-QMC)
- Nice to have: IATF 16949 Certification (as backup only)
- 3–5 years of experience in supplier audits within the automotive industry
- Solid understanding and use of VDA 6.3 methodology
- Preferred: Experience conducting partial-scope (P5–P7) audits
- Automotive manufacturing
- Experience auditing Tier 1 and Tier 2 suppliers preferred
