We are seeking an experienced National Sales Manager to play a critical role in soliciting new business and nurturing existing accounts. This role is responsible for securing business from professional associations, building relationships with association leaders, understanding their needs, developing strategies to attract their business, and driving revenue through group bookings.
Your Role

This role is responsible for securing business from professional associations, building relationships with association leaders, understanding their needs, developing strategies to attract their business, and driving revenue through group bookings.
Your Role
As the National Sales Manager, you will be at the forefront of our hotel's sales efforts, using your expertise to develop strong relationships with both new and existing clients. Some of your key responsibilities include:
- Manage all contract negotiations and determine which pieces of business to accept based on hotel’s occupancy, forecast and budget.
- Develop and implement sales strategies
- Develop annual marketing plan for assigned market segment which includes creating an annual budget, planning travel and entertainment, and determining sales strategies.
- Negotiate contracts with clients with the objective to meet or exceed client’s expectations while maximizing revenue for the hotel.
- Use discretion to determine which special events to participate in that will serve to create the greatest revenue for their particular market segment. This includes participating in networking events or client events sponsored by the hotel.
- Participate in industry or professional organizations and utilize these events to build relationships/expand contacts in the local and national hospitality community.
- Conduct outside sales calls, promote and represent the hotel at trade shows
- Create and maintain relationships with key accounts to solicit new and repeat business.
- Manage accounts through outside sales calls and hotel site visits.
- 2+ years hotel sales experience in Association Market in a full-service hotel or Conference Center.
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a 2 to 4-year college degree is a plus.
- Must be proficient with Windows operating systems and sales software.
- Must have valid driver’s license for applicable state and an acceptable MVR (Motor Vehicle Record).
