- Monitor and maintain correct employee set up via HRIS system
- Audit I-9s for new hires
- Review and process personnel changes
- Update administrator access to HRIS for new supervisors
- Generate, manipulate, and follow up on HR reports
- Review and process unemployment claims and maintain documentation for internal reporting
- Support management and HR trainings
- Organize and maintain relevant documentation
- Audit and update employee information in HRIS
- Verify employment as needed
- Manage and deliver company-wide communications ensuring accurate information concerning policies, documents, and changes
- Update and post new open positions, as needed. Ensure that postings comply with federal, state and local requirements.
- Collaborate with Coordinators and Directors regarding HRIS administration of employees
- Act as an appropriate role model and support people in using appropriate language, dress, manners, respect, and other behavior as needed.
- Other duties as assigned
Experience:
- High school diploma or GED required. College degree in a related field, and/or PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred
- 1-2 years of human resources experience required
- 1-2 years of administrative office experience required
- Proficient in computer software including Windows, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, G Suite, etc.
- Knowledge of Federal, State and Local employment law and best practices.
- At least 18 years of age
- Ability to pass and maintain criminal background check and driving record check
- Occasionally required to lift and move up to 30 pounds of paper, files and/or equipment.
- Able to sit for extended periods (1-2 hour blocks) of time to enter data into multiple systems, conduct face-to-face meetings or interviews
- Occasionally required to attend or conduct long meetings (3-4 hours in duration).
- Able to stand for extended periods (2-4 hour blocks) of conduct training or attend job fairs
- Ability to work under stressful conditions, deal with difficult people, and handle multiple assignments with specific deadlines.
- Able to have appropriate interactions and maintain professionalism
- Able to read and interpret written information, including laws and regulations
- Regularly required to use their fingers, hands, arms and eyes to type.
- Frequently required to speak to and appropriately respond to employees & managers on the phone.
