Job Overview

CORE Construction is seeking an Assistant Superintendent to assist the Lead Superintendent with on-site coordination for all phases of construction on large scale commercial projects in Las Vegas. The candidate will be responsible for all onsite activities of a construction project ranging from start-up to punch-out, including:

Coaching subcontractors on safe construction practices
Evaluating quality control, ensuring all subcontractor deficiencies are corrected
Maintaining the project schedule and establishing the critical path for subs and vendors
Facilitating and encouraging subcontractor coordination
Working with design team and owner to overcome challenges / unforeseen conditions
Reviewing all drawings, specifications and submittals
Assisting with daily progress reports and weekly schedule updates

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to ensure schedules, quality standards, and safety practices are upheld.
Interpret civil and architectural drawings to manage layout, grades, and elevations on-site.
Monitor field productivity and material deliveries; address issues as they arise to maintain progress.
Oversee site safety and ensure compliance with OSHA and company safety protocols.
Perform inspections and ensure that deficiencies are corrected promptly.
Collaborate with Project Manager, engineers, and inspectors for efficient project flow and problem-solving.
Provide daily reports, track crew and equipment performance, and maintain photo documentation.
Use Procore and other technology tools for documentation, coordination, and updates.
Assist in punch list completion and provide background support during the warranty phase.

Qualifications

Previous experience in a similar construction role.
Familiarity with construction documentation including RFIs, submit and redlines.
Strong communication and leadership skills; able to guide crews and coordinate across teams.
Prone or open to training in Procore, Microsoft Office, and construction software.
OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
Must possess a valid driver's license.
Willing to travel to project locations as needed.

Schedule

Full-Time Monday - Friday, Minimum 50 hrs a week.
Extended or weekend hours based on project needs
