Job Overview
Melvin Geib Inc. is seeking an experienced and proactive Senior Foreman to oversee field operations across multiple job sites. This role involves managing multiple 3-4 person crews across a variety of civil construction environments, including commercial, oil & gas, and railroad projects. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader with strong earthwork, excavation, and mechanical skills, and the ability to effectively coordinate teams and deliver results with minimal oversight. A working knowledge of GPS systems (Trimble preferred) and a commitment to safety compliance is essential.

Responsibilities Include But Are Not Limited To
- Lead and manage 3-4 person field crews on multiple active job sites.
- Coordinate with clients and stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
- Perform daily Job Safety Analyses (JSAs), tailgate meetings, and equipment inspections.
- Ensure strict adherence to safety standards per client, local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide on-the-spot decision-making and problem-solving without direct supervision.
- Manage field documentation and reporting tasks.
- Oversee minor mechanical repairs and equipment maintenance as needed.
- Operate or support operation of heavy equipment when required.
- Utilize GPS equipment and Trimble systems for layout and excavation accuracy.
- Minimum of 5 years experience in civil construction or a related field.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Previous experience in excavation, earthwork, and heavy equipment operation.
- Construction management experience with GPS systems (Trimble preferred).
- Strong mechanical aptitude for field repairs.
- Must possess OSHA 10 or Safeland USA certification.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and time management skills.
- Willingness to travel as required by projects.
