- Design of medical instruments and implants. Responsibilities will cover maintenance of existing designs and development of new products, including research, prototyping, laboratory testing, iterating, design for manufacturing, and detailed design and drawings of final parts and assemblies
- Work in a collaborative environment, interacting with cross-functional teams (Product & Project Management, Quality/Regulatory, Operations, and Marketing)
- Use design software (SolidWorks) to create CAD models and engineering drawings
- Support creation of test protocols/reports
- Support cadaver labs as required
- Work within the engineering change process as it relates to design control
- Responsible for performing all duties in compliance with all applicable worldwide regulatory requirements as included in the scope of the SI-BONE Quality Manual
- The intern must at all times act and conduct company business in an honest, ethical and strictly legal manner, complying with the Code of Conduct, other company policies, the AdvaMed Code and all applicable laws and regulations, whether national, regional, state or local. This individual is encouraged, expected, and required to report any suspected violations of laws, regulations, the Code or any other Company policy, and all other suspected unethical behavior. The company does not tolerate retaliation in connection with making good faith reports of suspected violations
- Current students or new graduates with a project or internship that involved medical device design using SolidWorks will be considered
- Prior exposure to CAD software (SolidWorks preferred) for mechanical design
- Experience with analytical tools such as FEA a plus

- Working toward a BS in Engineering
- Some Engineering Design Experience
- Must demonstrate strong written and verbal skills with experience presenting technical information in a small group setting
- Must work well in a small team and fast-paced environment
- Have a demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a team
