- UT Health East Texas EMS/AIR 1 has more than 65 ambulances, three active helicopters and one helicopter in reserve strategically located across the region and emergency teams provide rapid access to care.
Provides EMS related educational opportunities to individuals involved in pre-hospital patient care. Works somewhat independently to initiate, coordinate and teach the various State and nationally approved EMS related initial and on-going training opportunities.
Qualifications
Job Requirements:
- Associate's degree (A. A. or A.S.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school; or one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- State and/or Nationally Registered Paramedic
- Basic Life Support Instructor
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support Instructor
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support Instructor
- International Trauma Life Support and / or Pre-hospital Trauma Life Support Instructor
- Texas Department of State Health Services Instructor
- EMS Instructor for 1-3 years.
- Texas Department of State Health Services Coordinator
- Professional Certification or equivalent, College Degree preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in a healthcare-related field is preferred.
