The Medical Radiologic Technologist provides diagnostic radiologic services to customer-owners, primarily serving Alaska Native populations.
- Qualifications include ARRT registration, Associates degree or higher in Radiologic Technology, and BLS certification; additional certifications like ACLS, PALS, NRP, ATLS, and ALSO may be required for specialties.
- Understanding of the culture and needs of the primary population is essential to promote wellness aligned with organizational vision and mission.
- Native preference policies apply under P.L. 93-638, requiring certification before preference is granted.
- Employee health compliance, including immunizations such as MMR, Varicella, Hepatitis B, Influenza, T-dap, and COVID-19, is mandatory before employment.
