Full-Time Architectural Intern

Berggren Architects, a recognized leader in historic preservation, is seeking likeminded applicants working towards licensure. Our passion is fulfilled working on such landmarks structures as the Wyoming State Capitol, the historic Boswell Observatory on the campus of Doane University, and many of Nebraska’s iconic county courthouses.

Responsibilities of this full-time position include all phases of architectural services, from assisting staff architects and designers in the preparation of construction documents to traveling to project sites for field documentation and meetings with clients. Berggren Architects prioritizes applicants with an interest in historic preservation.

Responsibilities

1.     Assist staff architects and designers in the preparation of construction documents

2.     Some (mostly day) traveling to project sites for field documentation or meetings with officials or clients

3.     Code research and assisting with the development of code plans/reports

4.     Participate in general operational responsibilities as needed given the nature of a small firm

Necessary Skills & Qualifications

1.     NCARB accredited degree in architecture, working towards licensure

2.     Demonstrated interest in historic preservation

3.     AutoCAD

4.     Revit

5.     Comprehension of modern building code
