The practice manager is responsible for creating a positive teamwork environment in which veterinarians and staff deliver quality medicine and exceptional client service. While partnering with the Managing Veterinarian (MDVM), you will be responsible for ensuring a profitable operation by growing revenue and managing costs while creating a practice culture based on high-quality patient care and exceptional customer service.
You Will Love
- Managing, planning, coordinating the practice's overall operations, and cultivating a supportive and collaborative team environment
- Partnering with the Regional Operations Manager to develop long-term practice vision and goals
- Developing your team by utilizing things like regular staff meetings, and annual reviews
- Maintaining compliance with organizations like OSHA and the DEA
- Managing client retention through demonstrating and reinforcing exceptional client service
- Managing all financial responsibilities such as payroll, accounts receivable, pricing, inventory, etc.
- Partner with Hospital Leadership to lead team, ensure a great hospital culture and financial success for the clinic
- Bachelor's degree in business or a related degree is preferred
- 3-5 years of experience in a manager role, including customer service experience
- Experience in a practice setting in positions of increased responsibility is a plus
- Supervisory and leadership experience
- Intermediate computer skills i.e. Microsoft Office suite and ability to become proficient in Practice Management Software
- Strong leadership with a high level of emotional intelligence
- Effective communication, both verbally and in writing
- The ability to delegate tasks and achieves results with practice team members
- Positive interpersonal skills with staff and clients and works well in a team environment
