The University of South Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Director of Athletic Performance Women’s Basketball:
- This is a full- time, twelve-month position. Requirements include: CSCS or SCCC, USAW, and CPR certification; minimum of two years intercollegiate coaching experience. Knowledge of NCAA rules and guidelines, development, implementation, and coaching with strength program compliance, proficient in Microsoft office.
- Preferences to apply for this position are as follows: Administrate an intercollegiate strength and conditioning program, work related experience to include encompassing all genders of intercollegiate athletic programing, proficiency with Apple Computers and basic understanding of Apple video editing software.
- Master’s degree in related field is preferred. This position will report to the Sr. Associate Athletic Director, and will work closely with the Women’s Basketball Program and other sport programs as assigned. The position will perform required duties and manage all facets related to a Division I intercollegiate athletic performance and conditioning program.
- Duties include: development and implementation of the athletic performance program for Women’s Basketball, and additional designated sports as needed, educating student-athletes and coaches on nutrition and supplements with the health care administrator, Management of operational budget and spending for general athletics athletic health performance, and other duties as assigned. Preference will be given to applicants who possess knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations, strong verbal and written communication skills, and the ability to relate and communicate with coaches, staff and student- athletes.
