MAIN REQUIREMENTS::
- ESRI ArcGIS (ArcGIS Enterprise, ArcGIS Pro, etc.)
- Google BigQuery (including native geospatial functions and ESRI integration)
- Python (with libraries like GeoPandas, Shapely)
- Geospatial Data Formats (Shapefiles, GeoJSON, KML, etc.)
- Modern AI Coding Tools (e.g. Claude Code)
- Passion about building geospatial systems with impeccable accuracy and performance.
- Possess a deep curiosity about how things work and a drive to understand complex data systems at a fundamental level.
- A keen interest to use AI tools as a lever, multiplying your ability to build and innovate.
- Value creating robust, scalable, and maintainable systems built for the long term.
- A deep background in GIS principles, geospatial data structures, and spatial analysis.
As an early GIS/Geospatial Software Engineer, you will shape the core mapping and data analysis capabilities for our institutional partners.
You Will
- Architect and build sophisticated, interactive mapping tools for government employees in U.S. municipalities and counties.
- Create dynamic, interactive maps that visualize property parcels with complex zoning overlays and display detailed property ownership data.
- Implement powerful geospatial queries, including radius searches, proximity analysis, and complex data intersections.
- Integrate and manage diverse geospatial data sources, including shapefiles and other formats, into our central data platform.
