Salary Range
This compensation range considers a wide range of factors, including, but not limited to, skill set, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate is not adjusted for geographic differential associated with the location where the position may be filled. At One Call, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case.

The Colleague Resource Center Generalist will support the People Team’s Colleague Resource Center by supporting One Call colleagues and leaders when they have questions or concerns. The Generalist will be knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources and all Company policies, procedures, and practices. The Generalist will collaborate closely with other members of the People Team to promote Human Resource programs and meet departmental goals. The Generalist will undertake various Human Resources administrative tasks to ensure the People Team’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.

The Colleague Resource Center Generalist will support the People Team’s Colleague Resource Center by supporting One Call colleagues and leaders when they have questions or concerns. The Generalist will be knowledgeable in all areas of Human Resources and all Company policies, procedures, and practices. The Generalist will collaborate closely with other members of the People Team to promote Human Resource programs and meet departmental goals. The Generalist will undertake various Human Resources administrative tasks to ensure the People Team’s operations run smoothly and effectively to deliver maximum value to the organization.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
- Possess working knowledge of One Call People Team policies and programs, including benefits plans, leaves of absence, Human Capital Management systems, and other People Team Centers of Excellence processes and procedures.
- Perform routine tasks required to administer and execute People Team programs, including, but not limited to, compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development.
- Act as the first point of contact for colleagues and leaders with Human Resource-related questions, providing swift, comprehensive, and accurate information in response to their inquiries. Refer complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate leaders.
- Counsel and assist colleagues, people leaders, and People Team Business Partners with day-to-day Human Resource needs, including the interpretation and application of company and departmental policies and programs.
- Review corrective action forms and provide coaching to leadership on related processes and procedures.
- Understand company and Human Resource industry trends and best practices, and recommend strategies that promote employee engagement.
- Maintain knowledge of current and developing federal, state, local employment laws and regulations, and best practices; review policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Conducts preliminary investigations related to colleague complaints and escalates when appropriate.
- Research answers to Human Resource-related inquiries and escalates when appropriate.
- Review, track, and document compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, anti-harassment training, professional licensure, aptitude exams, and certifications.
- Maintain accurate employee personnel records in compliance with data retention requirements and provide employee file contents upon request.
- Conduct audits on colleague data to support People Team programs and initiatives.
- Promote People Team programs to create an efficient and conflict-free workplace.
- Work closely with the Business Partner team and other members of the People Team to facilitate departmental projects and achieve Company commitments.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to promote continual improvement through enhanced departmental efficiency and end-user experience.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal customers (our colleagues and people leaders) by demonstrating subject matter expertise, compassion, clear communication, and timely support.
- Oversee the unemployment process, including ensuring appropriate unemployment forms are provided upon separation as required, and serve on behalf of the organization at unemployment hearings.
- Audit various reports to analyze trends and leverage data to provide recommendations.
- Assist in developing and implementing People Team policies, FAQs, and other resources.
- Deliver training as needed to colleagues and people leaders.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, and 2-5 years of experience in Human Resources or related role, or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Human Resource certification is a plus.

- This position is a hybrid role, which means time will be spent working in the corporate office and the colleague’s home, as directed by leadership.
- Corporate Work Environment Demands:
- The corporate office work environment involves working in a communal space under fluorescent lighting.
- Must be able to frequently move about within the office to access filing cabinets, workstations, supplies, and equipment.
- Must be able to occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 20 pounds between workstations.
- Home Office Demands:
- Work-from-home requirements include:
- The ability to set up computer equipment within their home office.
- Within the home environment, the job is primarily sedentary.
- At all work locations, the colleague must be able to remain stationary for extended periods, perform repetitive motions, operate a computer and other office equipment, assess information and files stored electronically, converse with customers, and exchange accurate information.
- The colleague must be able to discern text displayed on a monitor, input data into specific fields using a keyboard, and adjust focus to distances of up to three feet.
- The colleague must have the ability to learn new tasks, follow established processes, maintain focus, complete tasks independently, complete multiple tasks simultaneously, communicate professionally with colleagues and customers, and complete tasks in situations that require speed or productivity.
- The colleague must be able to manage moderate to significant mental stress because of, but not limited to, a dynamic and heavy workload.
