What To Expect (Essential Job Responsibilities)
- Monitor and analyze security events as well as incidents to identify potential threats.
- Conduct thorough investigations of security breaches and incidents.
- Develop and implement incident response plans and procedures.
- Collaborate with other teams to mitigate and resolve security incidents.
- Perform forensic analysis to determine the root cause of incidents.
- Maintain and update security tools and technologies.
- Provide recommendations for improving security posture and incident response capabilities.
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of incidents and response actions.
- Stay current with the latest cybersecurity trends, threats, and technologies.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in cybersecurity, focusing on incident response.
- Strong knowledge of security principles, techniques, and technologies.
- Experience with security monitoring tools and technologies (e.g., SIEM, IDS/IPS).
- Proficiency in forensic analysis and investigation techniques.
- Strong written and verbal communication with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Security+ Cybersecurity certification.
- Additional certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH).
