Payroll Accounting Manager

The Payroll Accounting Manager, supporting the Enterprise Operations Global Financial Services (GFS) organization, is a strategic leader responsible for guiding a team of approximately 10 direct reports in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a unique blend of technical accounting expertise, leadership acumen, and transformational leadership skills to drive excellence in payroll accounting systems, compliance, and process improvements.

Key Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

  • Compliance and Risk Management: Own overall compliance for payroll accounting efforts, ensuring adherence to regulatory requirements, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.
  • System Ownership and Integration: Serve as functional system owner for Payroll Distribution and Sundry, ensuring seamless integration with other systems, such as SAP EC, SAP S4, and Blackline Matching.
  • Accounting and Billing: Oversee proper accounting and billing of payroll distribution, sundry, and cash, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
  • Leadership and Team Development: Lead the team through significant Enterprise level transformations, such as 1LMX, and foster a culture of continuous learning, growth, and development.
  • Process Improvements and Initiatives: Develop and implement strategic plans to enhance process efficiency, accuracy, and compliance, leveraging creative solutioning and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
  • Relationship Building and Communication: Cultivate critical relationships with Global Treasury, IT, Business Analysts, and other PFS departments, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Resource Planning and Troubleshooting: Optimize resource allocation and troubleshoot complex issues, leveraging strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
