What We Do

The Epic Communications team advances the company’s narrative and represents Epic products and the company vision to external and internal audiences globally. We create positive relationships and engagement strategies with a wide range of audiences, including media, investors, influencers, and policymakers.

What You'll Do

We are looking for a Senior Social Media Manager to join the Technology social team. This team oversees social media for Unreal Engine, Epic Online Services and the Unreal Editor for Fortnite. In this role, you will focus on daily oversight and management of our social media platforms - currently Twitter, Instagram, Tik Tok, Facebook and YouTube. You will be responsible for overseeing and building social media strategies to engage and inform Fortnite Creators, Unreal Engine developers and other audiences who use Epic’s tools and technologies. Working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders, you will define social strategies, create and optimize campaigns and be responsible for identifying and advising on the ever growing social media landscape.

In this role, you will

• Define and execute a clear strategy for the UEFN social channels: Allows us to more effectively engage with Fortnite Creators and Unreal Engine developers
• Evolves our brand voice in ways that are both informative and fun
• Can support key campaign beats and events with content and experiences that deliver maximum reach
• Allows our UEFN social channels to feel like endemic extensions of the Fortnite brand
• Oversee Unreal Engine social channel strategy, including posting and scheduling content and engaging with the community
• Lead a small team of social media experts and be a leader across the global social media team
• Coordinate with the Content and Marketing teams to execute on social media programs in support of broad business initiatives for brand, industries, products and markets
• Own, establishing, and driving creative social first initiatives related to Unreal Engine and UEFN across all social media platforms
• Optime existing Unreal Engine and UEFN social media channels and establishing best practices, as well as identifying and launching new platforms and trends
• Partner with the communications team on reactive responses to emerging issues and be an owner of all outcomes from the channel
  
  
  

What We're Looking For

• 5–7+ years in social media or digital marketing—ideally within gaming or related tech/media
• Proven track record of guiding teams and agencies, balancing mentorship with high standards and individual contributions
• Deep understanding of major social media ecosystems, especially emerging ones around the world
• Strong quantitative mindset—competent with dashboards, ROI analysis, social listening
• Ability to champion bold content ideas, with a keen sense of voice and tone
• Excellent at storytelling, stakeholder coordination, and diplomacy
• Strong organizational, prioritization, and multi-project management skills
• Motivated by gaming culture, and all-things-Fortnite, from Battle Royale to UEFN to Rocket League
