POSITION SUMMARY:
The Learning and Experience Specialist is responsible for designing, delivering, and facilitating engaging training sessions focused on credit union products, services, procedures, and regulatory compliance. This position enhances employee understanding, supports skill development, and ensures all employees are equipped to provide exceptional service to members. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to conducting new employee orientations, training employees in specific job functions, supporting ongoing professional development, and ensuring that training content remains current and compliant with regulatory standards. The Specialist will maintain a strong presence across all branches and digital platforms, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Essential Functions And Supporting Duties
Required Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications in training or financial services are desired.
Required Experience: 1–3 years of experience in facilitation, training, education, or a financial institution.
Preferred Knowledge: Knowledge of financial products and regulatory compliance.

The Specialist will maintain a strong presence across all branches and digital platforms, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
Essential Functions And Supporting Duties
- Lead onboarding training for new employees, introducing them to the organization’s culture, product knowledge, and systems.
- Conduct in-person and virtual training sessions for new hires and existing employees on topics such as credit union products, member service excellence, compliance, and operational procedures.
- Utilize diverse instructional methods, including presentations, role-plays, group discussions, and hands-on activities, to accommodate various learning styles.
- Collaborate with the Instructional Designer to implement training initiatives, ensuring smooth execution and employee understanding.
- Assist in creating training aids, activities, and digital learning content to encourage interactive participation.
- Regularly update training materials and the Online Product Knowledge Manual to reflect current information and compliance standards.
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging employees to participate in ongoing training and skill enhancement opportunities.
- Research and apply new training and facilitation methods to improve program effectiveness.
- Participate in educational programs, webinars, and conferences to stay updated on training techniques, financial services, and industry technologies.
- Act as a resource for employee training and troubleshooting.
- Assist team members and leadership with various tasks as needed to support organizational goals.
- Work collaboratively with branch staff to address training needs and provide on-the-job support in roles such as Teller, Member Service Representative, or Contact Center staff as required.
- Maintain accurate records of training activities, including attendance, employee progress, and training outcomes.
- Report on training effectiveness and provide feedback to leadership on engagement and areas for improvement.
- Track progress in digital learning portals and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to ensure completion of required training.
