Essential Job Functions
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily perform each essential function listed below.
- Take a defined problem, produce a plan, and execute it with light review, delivering work that holds up under peer review and is reused by others.
- Translate business questions into answerable analyses with guidance, selecting appropriate descriptive and inferential methods.
- Build dashboards and reports for intermediate questions using the team's agreed metric definitions, escalating when a definition is missing rather than creating a competing one.
- Add transformation models with tests and documentation, following the conventions of the existing version-controlled project.
- Run a designed test or controlled comparison end to end, covering hypothesis, power calculation, sample sizing, and readout, and communicate uncertainty rather than omitting it.
- Investigate data quality problems and route them to the teams that own the source, rather than patching around them downstream.
- Apply data classification and access controls correctly, and raise privacy questions rather than working around them.
- Use AI tooling to accelerate routine work, verifying output before it is shared and recognizing when it is unreliable.
- Support the facilitation of ad hoc reporting and data requests by looking for opportunities for self-service and automation, working closely with other members of the analytics team.
- Present findings clearly to the audience receiving them, and assist in onboarding new members of the team.
- Perform other related duties and activities as required.
- None.
