Network Engineer

Que Technology Group, Inc., is seeking a motivated Network Engineer in San Antonio, Texas to support customer requirements. This role provides on-site, hands-on network and hardware support for Texas-based systems while working closely with our Maryland-based engineering teams.

Job Responsibilities Include, But Are Not Limited To

• Performs network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks
• Configures and sustains Cisco and Arista network devices, including supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices
• Provides hands-on support for hardware issues in Texas, as directed by any of our EHSC Teams
• Analyzes design, specifications, and related documents
• Performs general LAN/CAN/WAN administration
• Schedules conversions and cutovers
• Coordinates with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents
• Translates business requirements into telecommunications (e.g., LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice and Video) requirements, designs and orders
• Performs engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures
• Assists telecommunications end users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces
  
  

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in a technical field with at least eight (8) years of experience in roles of similar complexity.
• An additional four (4) years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree.
• Significant Cisco and Arista configuration and sustainment experience.
• Familiar with LatteArt and supporting STE/STN and SSP compliance for those devices.
• Ability to provide hands-on hardware support on site in Texas.
• Willingness to travel occasionally to Maryland.
• Required to be on-call for Operational systems.
