Siemens Energy is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join our growing Gas Services Engineering team. This is an exciting opportunity for engineers with experience in gas turbines, turbomachinery, combustion systems, rotating equipment, aerospace hardware, or high-temperature components who want to work on technology that powers the world's energy infrastructure.

In this role, you'll drive the design, development, and implementation of critical turbine and combustion system components while collaborating with manufacturing, suppliers, and global engineering teams to deliver innovative, reliable solutions that support the energy transition.

How You’ll Make An Impact

• Design and develop gas turbine, combustion, and turbomachinery components from concept through production
• Create 3D models, PMI drawings, GD&T documentation, and engineering specifications using Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or similar CAD platforms
• Support product development, manufacturing readiness, and design improvements
• Partner with supplier, sourcing, manufacturing, project management, and engineering teams to optimize performance, quality, and cost
• Lead technical problem-solving efforts and drive continuous product improvements
• Support supplier qualification and new product introduction activities
• Provide technical guidance to global manufacturing and engineering teams
  
  
  

Required

What You Bring

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical design, product development, turbomachinery, aerospace, or rotating equipment
• Experience with CAD software such as Siemens NX, Creo, CATIA, or SolidWorks
• Knowledge of GD&T, PMI, engineering drawings, and manufacturing processes
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering organizations
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization.
• Export Control Requirement (ECC): Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
