Senior Product Manager
BitPay is building blockchain technology that transforms how businesses and people send, receive, and store money. We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to own the shared infrastructure that powers BitPay's merchant acceptance and consumer wallet products, including the blockchain networks and tokens we support, the partners we integrate with, and the core services that move, hold, and verify money.
As a Senior Product Manager at BitPay, you will work across departments to ensure that internal stakeholders' needs are reflected in your product roadmap. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership to define and refine requirements for mission-critical platform initiatives, ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic objectives. Your role will bridge gaps between teams, foster collaboration, and drive the success of our platform and the products it supports.

Requirements:
- Own the platform roadmap and the full product lifecycle, from discovery through launch and iteration, for services used by the Acceptance and Wallet products.
- Write clear product requirements before engineering begins: scope, system and user flows, funds and data flows, edge cases, and acceptance criteria. Set priorities for the platform engineering team and keep the work tied to agreed requirements.
- Lead new blockchain network and token integrations end to end: asset and chain evaluation, technical scoping, risk and compliance review, launch, and post-launch monitoring.
- Evaluate, onboard, and manage third-party partners and vendors, including liquidity, on- and off-ramp, banking connectivity, and custody providers, and own each integration from evaluation to production.
- Define and deliver core money-movement capabilities, including real-time payouts, custody, payroll, and cross-chain transactions.
- Partner with Compliance to design risk-based KYC, KYB, and transaction monitoring for businesses and consumers, balancing regulatory requirements with conversion.
- Take new products and material changes through regulatory review. Prepare product documentation, funds-flow diagrams, and risk assessments, and present them to regulators and auditors as the product subject-matter expert.
- Treat the Acceptance and Wallet product managers as your internal customers. Understand their roadmaps, surface dependencies early, and sequence platform work to unblock them.
- Deliver launch documentation that supports Finance (reconciliation, treasury, accounting), Compliance, and Customer Support.
- Define and report on success metrics for platform services, such as reliability, payout speed, cost per transaction, and time to integrate a new asset or partner.
- Improve product operations and backlog management across engineering teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- 5+ years of product management experience, including at least 3 years on technical platform, infrastructure, API, blockchain or payments products.
- Deep knowledge of blockchain fundamentals: networks, tokens and stablecoins, wallets and key management, the transaction lifecycle, and fees.
- Hands-on experience shipping payment infrastructure, such as payouts, settlement, money movement, or ledgering.
- A track record of leading third-party integrations with partners or vendors, from evaluation through production launch.
- Experience building products in regulated financial services, including KYC/KYB, AML, and transaction monitoring, and working directly with compliance teams, regulators, or auditors.
- The technical depth to write precise requirements, read API documentation, reason about system design trade-offs, and earn engineers' trust.
- A consistent practice of defining requirements before development begins and keeping engineering work tied to them.
- Strong written communication. You can explain complex funds flows, risks, and trade-offs to executives, engineers, and regulators.
- A data-driven approach, with experience using SQL or analytics tools to monitor platform health and adoption.
- The ability to work independently and own outcomes across multiple teams with competing priorities.
- Proficiency in Atlassian (Jira, Confluence), Google Workspace, and user analytics tools.
- Collaborate with a team of intelligent, enthusiastic individuals
- Thrive in a rapidly expanding crypto company with global reach, where your contributions make a tangible impact
- Work remotely with a generous vacation policy, including the opportunity to take a sabbatical and select your own holidays
- Access to continuous learning and development opportunities, supported by professional development reimbursement
- We offer 100% employer-paid medical and dental coverage and a robust benefits package that includes telemedicine, life and disability insurance, vision coverage, 401(k), travel assistance, and more
- Option to receive payment in cryptocurrency, along with a crypto match program
- Stock option awards are available to all employees
- Home office allowance, reimbursement for internet/cell expenses, and complimentary Amazon Prime and Spotify subscriptions
- The base salary range for this role is $160,000-$200,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and location. This role is also eligible for an annual bonus of up to 10% of base salary, based on company and individual performance.
BitPay will never ask you to:
- Install remote-access tools (TeamViewer, AnyDesk, etc.)
- Share your SSN or banking details before a formal, written offer from BitPay People Ops
- Interview via personal email accounts, text, or messaging apps
- Pay fees, buy equipment, connect a crypto wallet, complete "test transactions," or send money, crypto, or gift cards for any reason
- Emails come only from addresses ending in @bitpay.com or @bitpay.na.teamtailor-mail.com
- Interview invitations are sent from an @bitpay.com address and use Google Meet
- All open roles are listed at www.bitpay.com/careers
- Don't click links, download files, or share information
- Report it to the FTC at reportfraud.ftc.gov
