Overview

The Vice President, Paid Social leads the paid social media planning, execution, and thought leadership for assigned clients. This role serves as a senior strategic partner, responsible for translating business and marketing objectives into best‑in‑class paid social strategies while ensuring consistent delivery of measurable results.

The Vice President is a data‑driven and thoughtful decision‑maker who fosters a culture of creativity, innovation, and continuous learning across the team. This role acts as a primary client contact and executive advisor, providing strategic leadership, vision, and guidance across complex initiatives and long‑term client partnerships.

Our social team works across a diverse range of sectors on some of the largest and most dynamic clients within the agency. We are seeking an enthusiastic, forward‑thinking paid social leader who is eager to drive innovation, shape vision, and immerse themselves across multiple high‑impact projects.

Responsibilities

  • Provide vision, direction, management, and support to paid social team members, ensuring work aligns with agency and client goals
  • Serve as a thought leader, strategic partner, and advocate for clients, guiding paid social strategy and long‑term growth
  • Design and oversee paid social strategies across primary platforms (including Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok) to deliver against brand and performance objectives
  • Foster strong, trusted relationships with clients, internal cross‑functional teams, and platform partners
  • Develop and own action plans for achieving and measuring social media success, including KPI definition, measurement frameworks, and optimization strategies
  • Champion the value of paid social by educating clients, partners, and internal teams on evolving platform capabilities, emerging trends, and best practices
  • Apply deep paid social expertise and creativity to brainstorming, planning, and strategic working sessions, contributing to integrated media solutions
  • Provide senior‑level direction to teams on advanced optimization approaches, testing frameworks, and adoption of new platform features and capabilities
  • Deliver clear, executive‑ready presentations to clients and internal leadership that communicate strategy, performance, and forward‑looking recommendations
  • Develop and socialize points of view on emerging technologies, trends, and opportunities in the social media marketplace, including the responsible use of AI‑enabled tools to improve performance, insights, and operational efficiency
  • Support new business initiatives by bringing your social expertise and passion to help convert prospective clients

Qualifications

  • 10+ years of directly related digital or paid media experience, with progressively increasing responsibility in an agency or media environment
  • 7+ years of people management experience, including leading senior leaders and high‑performing teams
  • Proven experience applying paid social to drive results across brand‑building and direct‑response KPIs
  • Strong analytical expertise with the ability to interpret complex performance data and translate insights into strategic recommendations and optimization roadmaps
  • Deep understanding of best practices for leveraging social media for brand communication and performance marketing
  • Exceptional relationship‑building, diplomacy, and decision‑making skills, paired with creative and strategic thinking
  • Prior client‑facing leadership experience, with comfort advising senior and executive‑level stakeholders
  • Expert‑level knowledge of paid social media, platforms, optimization methodologies, and measurement frameworks
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with intermediate to advanced Excel skills (e.g., pivot tables, formulas, data analysis)

Compensation Range: USD $149,340.00 - USD $214,620.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. This role may also be eligible for bonus or incentive compensation. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
