Network Engineer

Behind every claim paid and every agent helped is a network that has to work. As a Network Engineer on our IT Infrastructure team, you'll help keep MOE connected and secure, working hands-on with Palo Alto firewalls, Aruba switching and wireless, SASE, and cloud connectivity across Azure and AWS. You'll learn alongside senior engineers, contribute to real modernization projects, and build deep expertise in network security and cloud networking along the way.

Location: The successful candidate will work on-site at our Home Offices in the Greater Seattle area. The candidate must live within driving distance of our offices.

What You'll Do-

• Implement, maintain, and support our enterprise network, including firewalls, switching, wireless, and WAN/SD-WAN/SASE.
• Manage the Palo Alto firewall environment, including policies, threat prevention, URL filtering, and tuning.
• Administer Aruba CX switching and wireless (Aruba Central) across corporate and branch locations, while supporting our remaining Cisco gear during the transition.
• Support and optimize Palo Alto Strata Cloud SASE for secure remote access and branch connectivity.
• Support cloud connectivity across Azure (VNets, ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway) and AWS (VPCs, Transit Gateway, Direct Connect).
• Strengthen security through segmentation, lateral movement controls, and access policy, partnering with the security team on reviews and compliance.
• Contribute to network projects from design through implementation, and keep diagrams, runbooks, and SOPs up to date.
• Share on-call duties and help respond to network incidents.
• Stay on top of emerging tech and bring ideas to the team.

What You Bring-

• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls (PAN-OS, Panorama) and Strata Cloud (Prisma Access, GlobalProtect).
• Strong experience with Aruba switching (AOS-CX preferred) and wireless, plus familiarity with Aruba Central.
• Working knowledge of routing and switching, including BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and QoS.
• A solid grasp of network security principles like zero trust and micro-segmentation.
• Comfort in the CLI and with change management processes.
• Systematic troubleshooting skills and a calm head under pressure.
• Clear communication with both technical peers and non-technical leaders, and strong documentation habits.
• Familiarity with Cisco IOS/NX-OS.
• Bonus points for scripting or automation experience (PowerShell, Python, Bash, Ansible).

Education & Experience-

• 3–5 years of enterprise networking experience in a production environment
• Proven production experience with Palo Alto firewalls and Aruba switching and wireless (required).
• Experience with Strata Cloud, Prisma Access, or SASE platforms preferred.
• 1–2 years of Azure and/or AWS networking experience a plus.
• Familiarity with DR/BCP network design, network monitoring tools, and SIEM integration (such as Splunk) a plus.
• BS in a STEM field preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
• Certifications preferred: PCNSA (PCNSE a plus), ACCA/ACCP, CCNA, AZ-700 or AWS networking equivalent.

Hiring Range: $116,300 - $130,900*

Salary Range: $116,300 - $145,200

Candidates with more experience may be considered for a Sr. Network Engineer position. Compensation and position will be commensurate with experience.

Sr. Network Engineer

Hiring Range: $161,700 - $182,300*

Salary Range: $161,700 - $196,300
