Up to $125,000 compensation based on experience and skills plus benefits

We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer to support and enhance a multi-site enterprise infrastructure environment. This role is responsible for maintaining secure, reliable, and high-performing connectivity across corporate offices, data center resources, cloud services, and remote users. The successful candidate will play a key role in network operations, infrastructure modernization, cybersecurity initiatives, disaster recovery planning, and technical projects.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on networking professional who is solid in network components, how they interact in an enterprise network environment, authentication, routing, domain controllers, DNS, etc.

Responsibilities
- Support the day-to-day operation of enterprise network infrastructure across multiple locations.
- Configure, maintain, and optimize routing, switching, firewall, wireless, VPN, and remote access technologies.
- Manage Cisco and Meraki network environments, including switches, routers, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitor network health, bandwidth utilization, latency, availability, and overall performance.
- Troubleshoot network, connectivity, and infrastructure issues using packet analysis, monitoring platforms, logs, and diagnostic tools.
- Support VMware-based virtual environments, data center networking, and storage connectivity.
- Implement network segmentation, security policies, and access controls to protect enterprise systems and data.
- Execute infrastructure upgrades, equipment refreshes, and network enhancement projects.
- Develop and maintain network diagrams, standards, configurations, inventories, and operational documentation.
- Participate in disaster recovery exercises, failover testing, and business continuity initiatives.
- Collaborate with vendors, carriers, and internal technology teams to resolve issues and implement solutions.
- Serve as an escalation resource for support teams and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Networking, Cybersecurity, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience supporting enterprise networking environments.
- Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, Layer 2 and Layer 3 networking, routing, switching, VLANs, STP, NAT, ACLs, DHCP, DNS, QoS, and VPN technologies.
- Experience administering networking solutions, Cisco and Meraki are a plus, but any networking hardware experience is acceptable with willingness to learn.
- Hands-on experience with enterprise firewalls, site-to-site VPNs, wireless infrastructure, and internet connectivity services.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows Server environments, Active Directory, and enterprise authentication technologies.
- Experience supporting VMware virtual infrastructure, including virtual networking and connectivity.
- Proficiency using network monitoring, alerting, and troubleshooting tools such as Wireshark, packet captures, traceroute, and system logs.
- Understanding of cybersecurity best practices, network segmentation, secure remote access, and vulnerability remediation.
- Experience supporting highly available environments with multiple locations and critical business applications.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, project coordination, and documentation skills.

Pluses:
- Cisco certifications such as CCNA or CCNP
- VMware, Microsoft, or other infrastructure-related certifications.
- Experience supporting cloud-connected environments and hybrid infrastructure.
- Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as SOC 2, PCI DSS, or similar regulatory environments.
- Experience participating in infrastructure migrations, technology refreshes, and disaster recovery planning.
