Overview

The Media Planner, Paid Social supports the planning, activation, and optimization of paid social campaigns that help clients achieve their business and marketing objectives. Working closely with senior team members, this role contributes to audience research, channel planning, campaign execution, performance analysis, and reporting across leading social platforms.

The Media Planner plays an important role in translating business goals and consumer insights into actionable paid social recommendations and campaigns. This position partners with strategy, activation, analytics, creative, and account teams to support the successful delivery of client programs while building expertise across both paid social planning and platform execution.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of paid social media plans aligned to client business goals and marketing objectives.
  • Assist with audience research, competitive analysis, marketplace trends, and consumer insights to inform planning recommendations.
  • Contribute to paid social media plans across platforms including Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and X.
  • Support the development of audience strategies, channel recommendations, budget allocations, and media plans.
  • Execute campaign setup, trafficking, QA, activation, and launch execution across paid social platforms.
  • Monitor campaign pacing, budgets, and delivery to ensure campaigns launch successfully and perform against objectives.
  • Analyze campaign performance and identify trends, insights, and optimization opportunities.
  • Support ongoing campaign optimizations and implementation of recommendations to improve campaign efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Assist in the development of client deliverables, including media plans, performance reports, campaign recaps, and presentations.
  • Support forecasting, reporting, billing reconciliation, campaign documentation, and media plan maintenance.
  • Collaborate with strategy, analytics, creative, activation, and account teams to ensure successful campaign execution.
  • Participate in testing initiatives, learning agendas, and platform innovation opportunities.
  • Build relationships with internal teams and media partners while developing an understanding of the paid social landscape.
  • Manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining strong attention to detail, organization, and accuracy.

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of experience in paid social, digital media, media planning, digital marketing, advertising, or a related field.
  • Experience supporting paid social campaigns across platforms such as Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, LinkedIn, Pinterest, Reddit, and X.
  • Familiarity with campaign setup, activation, trafficking, budget management, pacing, and optimization.
  • Experience using platform-native buying tools such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Snapchat Ads Manager, or similar platforms.
  • Understanding of audience targeting, measurement, and digital media fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and identify actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Passion for paid social media, digital marketing, emerging technologies, and consumer trends.
  • Demonstrated curiosity and eagerness to learn and grow within a collaborative team environment.

Compensation Range: USD $60,800.00 - USD $93,600.00/Annually. This is the pay range the Company believes it will pay for this position at the time of this posting. Consistent with applicable law, compensation will be determined based on the skills, qualifications, and experience of the applicant along with the requirements of the position, and the Company reserves the right to modify this pay range at any time. Temporary roles may be eligible to participate in our freelancer/temporary employee medical plan through a third-party benefits administration system once certain criteria have been met. For regular roles, the Company will offer medical coverage, dental, vision, disability, 401k, and paid time off.
