# Senior Data Analyst

## About the Role

Centene is seeking a **Senior Data Analyst** to analyze large, integrated datasets and generate insights that support business decisions, reduce the overall cost of care, and improve clinical outcomes for members. This role works with data from healthcare providers, members/patients, and third-party sources to identify trends, investigate data irregularities, and develop data-driven solutions.

The Senior Data Analyst will collaborate with business stakeholders and customers, independently manage analytical projects and data review processes, and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences. This position offers the flexibility to work remotely from home, with candidates required to live in the **Eastern or Central Time Zone**.

## Key Responsibilities

* Analyze and interpret data from multiple sources, including healthcare provider, member/patient, and third-party data.

* Extract value from large and integrated datasets to support business decisions and healthcare outcomes.

* Support large-scale projects with limited direction from leadership.

* Identify data irregularities and conduct **root-cause analysis** to determine issues and potential solutions.

* Present analytical findings and proposed solutions to leadership and customers.

* Manage multiple data review processes and variable analytical tasks within targeted timelines.

* Support the design, testing, and implementation of process improvements.

* Identify opportunities for automation and process enhancement.

* Apply quantitative analysis, data mining, and data presentation techniques to understand customer interactions with analytic products.

* Work across multiple organizational functions and levels to communicate analytical findings and insights.

* Communicate data-driven insights and recommendations verbally and visually to non-technical business partners.

* Independently engage with customers and business partners to gather requirements and validate analytical results.

* Present findings and recommendations to internal and external stakeholders and incorporate feedback when required.

* Perform other duties as assigned.

## Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in **Business, Economics, Statistics, Mathematics, Actuarial Science, Public Health, Health Informatics, Healthcare Administration, Finance, or a related field**, or equivalent experience.

* **2+ years of experience** working with large databases, data verification, and data management, or **1+ year of IT experience**.

* Working knowledge of **SQL/query languages**.

* Ability to analyze data, identify irregularities, conduct root-cause analysis, and communicate findings.

* Ability to work with business stakeholders and customers to gather requirements and validate results.
