Sr Network Engineer

We are looking for an experienced Sr Network Engineer to support and strengthen a hybrid enterprise infrastructure in Concord, California. This role focuses on designing, optimizing, and securing network environments that enable dependable connectivity, protected data exchange, and stable day-to-day operations. The ideal candidate brings strong technical depth across cloud and on-premises platforms, a practical troubleshooting mindset, and the ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
• Design, maintain, and enhance network infrastructure across routing, switching, wireless connectivity, firewall platforms, VPN services, and hybrid Azure-integrated environments.
• Develop and uphold network architecture standards, technical documentation, and long-term infrastructure plans that improve performance, segmentation, and security.
• Administer and support a hybrid Microsoft ecosystem, including cloud and on-premises services, to ensure reliable access and operational continuity.
• Manage the Hyper-V environment and related infrastructure components to maintain availability, scalability, and system efficiency.
• Investigate and resolve complex network and connectivity issues, serving as an escalation point for advanced incidents and selected help desk matters.
• Oversee backup operations for critical systems and verify that recovery processes align with business continuity needs.
• Partner with IT leadership and security stakeholders to implement preventive safeguards and contribute to incident response efforts.
• Provide technical guidance to end users and entry-level team members while promoting strong service standards and timely issue resolution.
• Monitor industry developments, evaluate emerging technologies, and recommend improvements that strengthen the overall network environment.
• Travel occasionally to support offices or operational needs as required.
• 6+ years of experience in network engineering or network support, experience detail oriented services or legal environment a plus • Strong hands-on knowledge of Cisco networking technologies, including routers, switching, LAN/WAN design, and VPN connectivity. • Experience working with security platforms such as Palo Alto firewalls and applying sound network protection practices. • Proficiency with Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Entra ID, Microsoft Exchange, and Microsoft 365 Enterprise in a hybrid infrastructure setting. • Working knowledge of Hyper-V administration, network monitoring tools, and remote management solutions. • Clear communication skills and a customer-focused approach when supporting attorneys, staff, clients, and internal technical teams. • Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with a broader IT team in a fast-paced environment. • Valid authorization to work in the United States and ability to travel occasionally, including overnight trips when needed.
