Job Description

As a Systems Engineer I at Honeywell Aerospace, you will be responsible for supporting the Head-Up Display (HUD) system design process from concept to production. You will work closely with senior engineers to define system requirements and specifications, assist in the overall system design, safety analysis, prototyping, perform hardware & software integration, support aircraft installation, and certification activities. Your role will also involve staying up-to-updated with the latest industry trends and technologies and contributing to the overall success of the HUD system development.

In this role, you will contribute to the development of innovative systems and software solutions that enhance the quality of life for people around the world by ensuring the delivery of high-quality and reliable products.

You will report directly to our Sr Engineering Manager, and you’ll work out of our Phoenix, AZ location on a Hybrid work schedule. External hires will begin with 90 days on site before transitioning to a 3/2 hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design and development of system and software solutions.
  • Perform testing and validation to ensure product performance and reliability.
  • Collaborate with senior engineers to contribute to the overall design process.
  • Perform system simulation development in a laboratory environment.
  • Support product and system safety analysis development.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies.
  • Provide technical support to the hardware engineering team.

Qualifications

YOU MUST HAVE

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, mathematics
  • 0-2 years of experience in systems engineering or related technical roles, preferably in aerospace or related industries
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Due to compliance with U.S. export control laws and regulations, candidate must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. permanent resident, or have asylum or refugee status in the U.S.

WE VALUE

  • Advanced degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Experience with system development, simulations, and aerospace regulations.
  • Experience with hardware and software integration.
