Job Description
The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of business data to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions. This role works closely with senior analysts and business users to maintain reports, document requirements, and ensure data accuracy across reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
Salary: $65,000 - $80,000 Paul, Weiss offers competitive compensation and benefits packages. The firm considers a number of factors when determining compensation, including, but not limited to, education, years of experience, levels of experience, competency levels and other relevant skills and qualifications.

The Junior Data Analyst is responsible for the collection, validation, analysis, and reporting of business data to assist stakeholders in making informed decisions. This role works closely with senior analysts and business users to maintain reports, document requirements, and ensure data accuracy across reporting platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Document report, dashboard, and project requirements, including specifications and Statements of Work (SOWs).
- Collect, validate, and analyze datasets used in reporting and business analysis initiatives.
- Manage and optimize report and dashboard access by maintaining user permissions and security groups.
- Contribute to the the development, enhancement, and maintenance of SSRS and Power BI reports and dashboards.
- Develop proficiency in the programming language, databases, and data structures utilized by the firm.
- Reconcile datasets used in numerous reporting and dashboards.
- Develop an understanding of the firm's reporting tools, databases, data structures, and business processes.
- Collaborate with team members to identify and resolve data quality issues.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Business, or a related field preferred.
- Experience with Excel required.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and data analysis functions.
- Exposure to SQL and relational databases preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to multitask and meet stringent deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment as well as taking ownership for individual assignments is required.
