IMPACT STAFFING INTERNATIONAL

Impact Staffing International (ISI) is seeking a Global Sustainability Manager to join our client’s team. This role will serve as the global owner of the sustainability program, with a primary focus on governance, strategy, coordination, reporting, and customer sustainability support. This is a Direct Hire opportunity based in Irving, Texas. The position is on-site five days per week and includes approximately 25–30% travel, primarily international.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced sustainability professional to take ownership of a global program during an important transition, strengthen sustainability governance across the organization, and help translate the company’s sustainability efforts into meaningful information for customers.

Key Responsibilities Include:
  • Coordinate and execute the company’s global sustainability strategy and roadmap.
  • Develop and manage sustainability governance processes, accountability structures, and action plans.
  • Partner closely with regional sustainability and HSE leaders to communicate the strategic plan and ensure consistent implementation across regions.
  • Coordinate annual sustainability planning, goal development, and the Sustainability Core Team.
  • Manage sustainability reporting, performance measurement, ESG data collection, KPIs, dashboards, reporting definitions, methodologies, and data governance.
  • Lead customer sustainability information and support requests, helping customers understand the company’s sustainability programs and performance.
  • Translate sustainability initiatives into clear customer-facing messaging, particularly around areas such as supply-chain traceability, deforestation, responsible sourcing, and labor practices.
  • Coordinate Product Carbon Footprint activities and support EcoVadis, Sedex, and other customer sustainability programs.
  • Coordinate sustainability initiatives related to energy, water, waste, carbon, and deforestation.
  • Develop standardized customer sustainability responses, communications, supporting materials, and sustainability narratives.
  • Monitor emerging sustainability expectations, regulations, reporting requirements, and market trends, particularly those developing in Europe.
  • Build sustainability capabilities across regions and business functions and strengthen sustainability ownership within regional operations.
  • Support sustainability due diligence, onboarding, and integration for acquisitions, joint ventures, and new facilities.
  • Support sustainability-related disclosure activities and the integration of sustainability information into broader business processes.
Required Skills and Background:
  • 5–8 years of experience in sustainability, environmental management, HSE, operations, or a related discipline.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Sustainability, Environmental Science, Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain, Natural Resources, or a related field.
  • Experience leading sustainability, ESG, environmental, operational excellence, or related projects.
  • European sustainability experience is highly important, including knowledge of European sustainability regulations, customer expectations, reporting frameworks, and market requirements.
  • Experience working with or understanding complex supply chains; food industry experience is relevant, but candidates from other complex industries will be considered.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability reporting, performance measurement, and governance.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively both internally and externally.
  • Ability to translate sustainability programs and technical information into credible, understandable messaging for customers.
  • Strong organizational, planning, collaboration, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to lead and influence sustainability efforts across regional teams without direct management responsibility.
  • Willingness to travel internationally approximately 25–30%.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience within the food industry or another organization with a complex supply chain.
  • Experience working in a global or multi-site organization.
  • Experience supporting customer sustainability requirements, assessments, reporting frameworks, or sustainability ratings.
  • Experience with Product Carbon Footprint or Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) programs.
