About The Role

PhoenixAI is looking for a hands-on, data-driven Performance Marketing Manager to own our paid media programs end to end. You will take ownership of an active, multi-channel paid program and be responsible for auditing, restructuring, and scaling it: planning and running campaigns across search, social, programmatic, and account-based advertising, testing and iterating continuously, and making sure every dollar we spend can be traced to pipeline.

You will work closely with our GTM Systems team, which owns Salesforce and the GTM data stack, to build closed-loop attribution from ad spend to opportunities, and with product marketing, content, and design on messaging, creative, and landing pages. This is a builder role for someone who thrives on experimentation, moves fast, and wants to define how paid acquisition works at an early-stage company selling to enterprise data and AI teams.

What You'll Do

As Performance Marketing Manager, you will own the strategy, execution, and measurement of PhoenixAI's paid media programs, driving qualified pipeline for our agentic AI database platform.

  • Own and optimize our existing paid media programs across Google Search, LinkedIn, retargeting and programmatic display, account-based advertising (e.g., Demandbase), software review sites, content syndication, and sponsored placements in developer and data-engineering communities and newsletters.
  • Run a continuous test-and-learn program across audiences, keywords, creative, offers, landing pages, and bidding strategies; optimize on a weekly cadence, document what works and what doesn't, and turn findings into repeatable playbooks.
  • Research and evaluate new channels and ad formats, launch pilots with clear success criteria, and scale or cut them based on results.
  • Define and enforce tracking standards (UTM conventions, conversion events, offline conversion imports) so that paid performance is measured against SQLs and pipeline, not just clicks and form fills.
  • Partner with GTM Systems, which owns Salesforce and the GTM data stack, to integrate ad platform data, build closed-loop attribution, and maintain reporting from spend to pipeline.
  • Work with product marketing, content, and design on ad messaging, creative, and high-converting landing pages; own conversion rate optimization for paid traffic.
  • Manage the paid media budget in partnership with Finance, including pacing, forecasting, and monthly reconciliation.
  • Manage relationships with media agencies, ad platform representatives, and vendors.
  • Report on spend, efficiency, and pipeline contribution to marketing and GTM leadership, with clear, data-backed recommendations.

Qualifications

  • 4–8 years of hands-on paid media / performance marketing experience, ideally within B2B SaaS or technology companies with enterprise sales cycles.
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in Google Ads and LinkedIn Campaign Manager; experience with programmatic and account-based advertising platforms (e.g., Demandbase, 6sense, StackAdapt) is a strong plus.
  • Experience building closed-loop measurement: offline conversion tracking, Salesforce campaign attribution, and reporting on cost per SQL and cost per opportunity.
  • Strong analytical skills, with fluency in GA4, ad platform analytics, and spreadsheets; SQL or experience with BI tools is a plus.
  • Track record of designing structured experiments and translating results into decisions.
  • Experience with landing page and conversion rate optimization.
  • Excellent project management skills and comfort managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with GTM, product marketing, content, and design teams.
  • Familiarity with developer or data-engineering audiences, or with the open-source data ecosystem, is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Marketing, Communications, or a related field.

The base salary for this role is projected at $180,000 - $220,000 annually, plus eligibility for PhoenixAI's bonus programs. Individual compensation will be determined based on permissible, non-discriminatory factors such as skills, experience, and geographic location. We also provide a comprehensive benefits package featuring premium medical, dental, and vision coverage, life insurance, and a 401(k) retirement plan. Employees enjoy at least 16 days of PTO, parental leave, health savings options, and access to our employee assistance program.
