Position Summary

A leading professional organization is seeking an experienced Network Engineer to support, maintain, and enhance a global enterprise network infrastructure. This is a hands-on role focused on network operations, security, troubleshooting, infrastructure upgrades, and connectivity across data center, cloud, office, and remote environments.

The ideal candidate has strong networking fundamentals, a security-first mindset, and experience supporting highly available enterprise networks. The role works closely with Infrastructure, Security, and Technology Operations teams to ensure network reliability, performance, and security.


Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor, maintain, and troubleshoot enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, wireless, firewalls, VPNs, and network access controls.
  • Perform network health checks, review logs and alerts, and proactively identify and resolve performance and connectivity issues.
  • Manage firewall policies, VPN configurations, certificates, authentication, and network access controls.
  • Support Cisco ISE and enterprise network security initiatives.
  • Plan and execute network hardware, firmware, and software upgrades and infrastructure refreshes.
  • Deploy and configure switches, routers, firewalls, wireless access points, and related network infrastructure.
  • Support office expansions, relocations, global network deployments, and cloud connectivity initiatives.
  • Troubleshoot enterprise routing and switching environments, including BGP and EIGRP, as well as Layer 2/Layer 3 and wireless issues.
  • Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring incidents.
  • Support Azure networking and hybrid cloud connectivity.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, failover exercises, planned maintenance, and an on-call rotation.
  • Maintain network diagrams, standards, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Identify opportunities for network automation, scripting, and operational process improvements.


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field preferred.
  • 3–5+ years of enterprise networking experience.
  • Strong experience with enterprise routing, switching, wireless, and network security.
  • Hands-on experience with Cisco networking technologies, including Catalyst switching, wireless, and Cisco ISE.
  • Working knowledge of BGP, EIGRP, VLANs, STP, port channels, and Layer 2/Layer 3 troubleshooting.
  • Experience with enterprise firewall technologies, VPNs, network access controls, and security best practices.
  • Experience with certificate management and secure network administration.
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Willingness to support after-hours maintenance and an on-call rotation as needed.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks, Cisco DNA/Catalyst Center, or Azure networking is preferred.
  • Experience with network automation and scripting using Python, PowerShell, or Ansible is preferred.
  • CCNA, CCNP, PCNSA, PCNSE, AZ-700, or related certifications are a plus.
  • Experience supporting network infrastructure in professional services, legal, financial services, or similarly complex enterprise environments is a plus.


Compensation: $120,000 to $150,000 annually

Compensation is based on a range of factors that include relevant experience, knowledge, skills, other job-related qualifications.
