We’re seeking a Senior Quality Engineer to support manufacturing planning development and production operations for the Vectis Family of Systems Portfolio.
In This Influential Role, Your Key Responsibilities Will Include
- Apply quality principles in the areas of design, incoming material, production control, product evaluation, program performance, reliability, inventory control, and/or research and development as they apply to product or process quality for make and/or buy products.
- Conduct detailed data analysis (quality and cost), root cause investigations, and lead the implementation and validation of corrective and preventive actions.
- Perform technical evaluations including product requirements, specifications, models/designs, drawings and procedures.
- Design and analyze inspection and testing processes, mechanisms and equipment
- Collaborate with program management, engineering, manufacturing, supply chain and customers on quality related issues to ensure quality standards are in place.
- Evaluate quality systems for deficiency identification and correction.
- Conduct product quality tests, performs statistical analysis to assess products or materials that do not meet required standards and specifications.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in STEM field
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, 3D models and specifications
- Experience with developing inspection criteria and familiarization with inspection tools and methods
- Experience with validating accuracy of manufacturing work instructions, visual aids, accept/reject guides, tool set up instructions and test procedures.
- Experience using basic Quality Engineering tools including:
- Failure Modes and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Cause Maps
- Root Cause Corrective Action (RCCA)
- Experience working in a manufacturing environment
Desired Skills
- Experience with: Catia, 3DX or XVE
- Experience with Internal surveillance (PCS/PBS/PPV)
- Inspection methods (MSA, gage R&R)
- SPC, KC management (design and process KCs)
- Metrics development; data analytics
- Process improvement tools (DMAIC, Six Sigma, RedX) or Black/Green Belt Certification
- GD&T experience
- Design for manufacturing
- Knowledge of AS9100 Quality Management System Requirements.
- AS9145 Experience
- Full Scale Determinant Assembly

- Annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs may be offered depending on the position. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and can vary from year to year and are tied to a range of performance metrics.
- For (Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
