What You’ll Be Doing
- You will work with other engineers to design and build prototypes for internal and external customers.
- You will provide electrical engineering design support to scientists and technicians working on internal R&D projects
- You will design digital circuits, schematic capture, hardware debug and test, and operations support for newly delivered instruments
- You will test and troubleshoot digital and analog circuit boards in the lab
- Duties, responsibilities and activities may change, or new ones may be assigned as needed
- Training and mentorship will be provided
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Must work well in a team environment
- Possess organizational, time management and project management skills
- Demonstrate flexibility and ability to adapt to changing organizational need
- Interpersonal skills to coordinate efforts and work with other internal and external organizations
What You Need to be Successful
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university program in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline (pursuing or conferred within last 12 months)
- Prior internship at The Aerospace Corporation
- 0-1 year of industry work experience
- Minimum GPA of 3.0
- Experience testing electronics in a lab environment using oscilloscopes, multimeters, etc.
- Knowledge of basic electronic circuit concepts and theory
- Familiarity with basic programming concepts
- This position requires ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, which is issued by the US government. U.S citizenship is required to obtain a security clearance.
