What you’ll do

The Data Analyst at TrueScripts Management Services deals with data related to health insurance claims, client, drugs and members on a daily transactional level. The Data Analyst will collect, analyze, and interpret large datasets to identify trends and insights that inform business decisions. Responsibilities include data wrangling, building PowerBi dashboards, creating client reports, developing metrics and insights for program development. The role also involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure data-driven approaches to support business goals.

Principal Roles And Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the company's data and analytics dashboards.
  • Perform analyses that support business decisions, identify opportunities, and guide development of new programs and initiatives.
  • Create custom reports and data extracts to support client, compliance, and internal business needs.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts by developing and enhancing data solutions, including simple SQL views, tables, and other reporting assets.
  • Build and maintain process documentation, reporting standards, and team knowledge resources.
  • Troubleshoot complex data issues and perform exploratory data analysis to identify inconsistencies, trends, and opportunities for improvement within the data warehouse.
  • Demonstrate curiosity and a willingness to learn new business concepts, industry trends, and analytical techniques.
  • Work collaboratively across departments and communicate effectively with team members, business partners, and leadership.
  • Perform quality assurance reviews of reports, analyses, and data deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and adherence to team standards.
  • Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to improve productivity, streamline reporting and analytics processes, and support innovative problem-solving.

Requirements

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree with 2+ years’ experience as a Data Analyst or related role; or a Master’s degree in a related field.

Technical Skills

  • Strong SQL skills with the ability to build complex queries and perform data analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI/Tableau, Azure AAS, or similar reporting and analytics tools.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, and reporting.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data troubleshooting skills.
  • Understanding of database concepts and data warehousing principles.
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong quality assurance, data validation, and attention-to-detail skills.
  • Ability to leverage AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, and analytical workflows.

Work Environment

This role is a remote job with a flexible “8-5” 40 to 45-hour workweek. All employees of TrueScripts must understand and adhere to Confidentiality and Personal Health Information (PHI) Guidelines as stated in the Employee Handbook.

Physical Demands

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit, use hands and fingers and to type for up to eight hours in a workday.
