Data Analyst

About The Role

The Data Analyst turns product, customer, and operational data into clear analysis that guides roadmap decisions, growth initiatives, and business performance. The role works across SQL-based data warehouses, BI dashboards, experimentation data, and recurring reporting systems.

The analyst partners with product managers, engineers, finance, and operations to define metrics, investigate trends, and communicate findings to technical and non-technical stakeholders. The work directly improves how teams measure outcomes and prioritize investments.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze product and business data using SQL and Python to identify trends, performance drivers, and areas of opportunity
• Build and maintain trusted dashboards and reporting workflows in Looker, Tableau, or equivalent BI platforms
• Define metrics and dimensional models in partnership with analytics engineers, ensuring consistent business logic across reporting
• Design and evaluate A/B tests, including experiment setup, statistical analysis, interpretation, and clear recommendations
• Investigate data quality issues and reconcile discrepancies across source systems, warehouse tables, and reporting layers
• Translate ambiguous business questions into structured analyses, written conclusions, and decision-ready presentations
• Document metric definitions, analytical methods, and recurring workflows to improve self-service access to data
  
  

What We Are Looking For

• 3–6 years of experience in data analytics, product analytics, business intelligence, or a related role
• Advanced SQL skills, including complex joins, window functions, CTEs, query optimization, and analysis of large datasets
• Hands-on experience with Python for data analysis using tools such as pandas, NumPy, or comparable libraries
• Experience building production dashboards and reports in Looker, Tableau, Mode, Power BI, or a similar BI platform
• Strong understanding of experimentation, descriptive statistics, statistical significance, cohort analysis, and funnel metrics
• Bachelor’s degree in statistics, economics, mathematics, computer science, data science, or a related quantitative field
• Bonus: Experience with dbt, Snowflake, BigQuery, Amplitude, Mixpanel, causal inference, or analytics in a high-growth technology environment
