AEROSPACE ENGINEER - Mid

SUMMARY:  Personnel shall provide advisory Scientific Engineering and Technical Assistance, expertise, provide feedback; advice; analysis; and assist in development of new concepts, acquisition approaches, business processes, and operations of National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) Research.  

JOB FUNCTIONS: 

Analyzes aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements. Reviews/assess new technologies for application in improving design of aerospace systems.

 SKILLS: 

• Experience in Astrodynamics.


•  Knowledge and Education in the designs, development, and testing of structures and systems for aircraft, missiles, or spacecraft. 


• Advanced knowledge of foreign capabilities. 


• Analyzes aerospace product or equipment specifications and performance requirements.


•  Reviews/assess new technologies for application in improving design of aerospace systems.


•  Experience in modeling, mathematics, Matlab, Python, and STK.


• Display strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and written/oral communication skills. 


• Detail-oriented team leaders who can consistently meet deadlines and possess the ability to work independently as needed.  


• Able to multi-task and demonstrate the ability to work with a diverse work group of vendors, executive managers, subcontractors, consultants, and other professionals.  


• Communicate effectively with company executives and employees, in writings and verbally; must be comfortable speaking clearly, effectively, and confidently.  

 EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE 

• Required: 10 years of relevant experience and a BA/BS degree.
   OR in place of 10 years relevant experience a MA/MS degree and 8 years relevant experience; OR a PhD degree and 5 years relevant experience.

OTHER: 

• Must pass drug test. 


• US Citizenship required. 


• Must be willing and able to obtain and/or currently possess a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility.


• Must have an active and/or currently possess a fully adjudicated (not an interim) Top Secret clearance with SCI. 


• Maybe subject to a Polygraph.
