Healthcare Recruiter
The Recruiter is responsible for independently managing the full-cycle recruitment of healthcare professionals within an assigned specialty division. This role builds and maintains strong clinician relationships, develops sustainable talent pipelines, and partners with internal stakeholders to successfully match qualified healthcare professionals with client opportunities.
Recruiter serves as a fully functioning healthcare recruiter who has demonstrated proficiency in the recruiting lifecycle and is capable of independently managing recruiting activities with limited supervision. This role balances business development, relationship management, sourcing strategy, operational execution, and candidate advocacy to consistently deliver high-quality recruiting outcomes.
Recruiters at this level are expected to develop expertise within their assigned specialty while continuously strengthening their recruiting capabilities, market knowledge, and business acumen. Success is measured through consistent recruiting execution, quality placements, candidate experience, pipeline development, and contribution to organizational growth.
Principal Responsibilities:
Candidate Sourcing & Talent Acquisition
- Develop and execute sourcing strategies to identify and engage qualified healthcare professionals across multiple recruiting channels
- Build and maintain a sustainable pipeline of clinicians aligned with current and future client demand
- Utilize proactive sourcing techniques including referrals, networking, social media, job boards, and passive candidate outreach
- Continuously evaluate sourcing effectiveness and adjust strategies to improve recruiting outcomes
Candidate Relationship Management
- Build long-term relationships with healthcare professionals throughout the recruiting lifecycle
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned clinicians from initial engagement through assignment completion
- Provide consultative guidance regarding assignments, compensation, career opportunities, and market conditions
- Deliver an exceptional candidate experience through proactive communication, responsiveness, and relationship management
Full-Cycle Recruiting Execution
- Manage the full recruiting lifecycle including sourcing, screening, qualification, submission, placement, and ongoing clinician engagement
- Evaluate candidate qualifications, licensure, certifications, experience, and career goals to ensure appropriate placement opportunities
- Coordinate recruiting activities while maintaining accuracy, responsiveness, and operational efficiency
- Effectively prioritize recruiting activities to meet changing business demands
Market Knowledge & Business Partnership
- Develop expertise within assigned healthcare specialties and geographic markets
- Maintain awareness of labor market trends, clinician availability, compensation trends, licensing requirements, and competitive activity
- Partner with Account Managers and Operations teams to understand client needs and staffing priorities
- Utilize market intelligence to develop effective recruiting strategies and improve placement outcomes
Recruiting Operations & Process Excellence
- Maintain accurate documentation of recruiting activities, candidate information, and workflow progression within recruiting systems
- Ensure recruiting activities comply with organizational policies, regulatory requirements, and operational standards
- Effectively manage recruiting workflows while maintaining data integrity and operational consistency
- Identify opportunities to improve recruiting efficiency and candidate experience
Recruiting Technology & AI Enablement
- Utilize applicant tracking systems, CRM platforms, sourcing technologies, and recruiting analytics to improve recruiting effectiveness
- Leverage approved AI-enabled tools to support sourcing, candidate engagement, workflow management, communication, and productivity
- Utilize recruiting data and reporting to improve decision-making and recruiting performance
- Continuously adopt emerging recruiting technologies and automation capabilities
Collaboration & Continuous Improvement
- Partner with Account Management, Credentialing, Payroll, Operations, and Recruiting leadership to support successful placements
- Share recruiting insights, market intelligence, and best practices with team members
- Participate in coaching, training, and professional development activities
- Demonstrate a commitment to continuous learning and ongoing development of recruiting expertise
Position Specific Responsibilities:
Allied Recruiting
- Recruit healthcare professionals across Allied specialties including therapy, imaging, laboratory, respiratory, cardiovascular, and additional clinical disciplines
- Develop specialty-specific recruiting pipelines aligned with client demand and market conditions
- Build expertise in Allied certifications, licensure, and workforce trends
- Partner closely with Account Managers to support timely placement of Allied clinicians
Nursing Recruiting
- Recruit travel nurses across a variety of acute care, specialty, and hospital-based disciplines
- Develop strong candidate pipelines supporting national travel nursing opportunities
- Maintain expertise in nursing licensure requirements, specialty certifications, and market dynamics
- Build lasting relationships with travel nurses to encourage repeat assignments and long-term engagement
Education and Certifications:
- Required: High School Diploma or GED
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, Human Resources, Communications, Marketing, or related field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Required Experience:
- 2–4 years of experience in recruiting, staffing, healthcare staffing, talent acquisition, sales, or relationship management
- Demonstrated success managing a full-cycle recruiting desk or equivalent client relationship portfolio
- Strong sourcing, interviewing, and candidate relationship management skills
- Ability to build and maintain sustainable candidate pipelines
- Strong communication, negotiation, and consultative relationship-building skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple recruiting activities within a fast-paced, performance-driven environment
- Experience utilizing recruiting systems, CRM platforms, or applicant tracking systems
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Preferred Experience:
- Experience recruiting within healthcare staffing, travel healthcare, workforce solutions, or related industries
- Experience supporting Allied, Nursing, Renal, or School-Based staffing specialties
- Experience utilizing LinkedIn Recruiter, job boards, CRM platforms, and sourcing technologies
- Experience leveraging AI-assisted recruiting tools and workflow automation
- Familiarity with healthcare licensing, credentialing, and compliance processes
- Experience interpreting recruiting metrics and utilizing data to improve recruiting performance
Success Metrics:

- Successfully manages the full recruiting lifecycle while delivering high-quality candidate and client experiences
- Demonstrates strong recruiting execution through effective sourcing, qualification, placement, and relationship management

- Effectively utilizes recruiting technology, AI-enabled tools, and operational processes to improve productivity and recruiting outcomes
- Demonstrates continued growth in specialty expertise, market knowledge, and recruiting capabilities
- Contributes positively to team collaboration, operational excellence, and achievement of organizational recruiting objectives
Location: Frisco, TX (hybrid considered).
Compensation: $45K-$55K base, on top of a competitive commission structure that rewards every great placement you make, we offer a tiered bonus program up to $20,000 within the first year that can add up fast for people who push hard.
