THE OPPORTUNITY

The Network Engineer is responsible for implementing, supporting, monitoring, maintaining, and optimizing the Bank’s enterprise network infrastructure. The role ensures the availability, performance, and security of network systems while supporting business operations and technology initiatives, independently performing routine and moderately complex network administration activities, and participating in infrastructure projects. Performs all duties in accordance with the Company’s policies and procedures, all U.S. state and federal laws and regulations, wherein the Company operates.

How You’ll Make a Difference

  • Implement, configure, monitor, and support network infrastructure, including routers, switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and WAN circuits.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve network connectivity, performance, and security issues.
  • Support server, operating system, and infrastructure application deployments.
  • Monitor and maintain network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access control systems.
  • Participate in network upgrades, migrations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
  • Monitor network utilization, availability, and performance, and prepare reports and recommendations.
  • Create and maintain network diagrams, procedures, and technical documentation.
  • Collaborate with business and IT teams to identify and resolve infrastructure-related issues.
  • Maintain asset inventory and configuration records.
  • Provide technical support and escalation assistance to users and support staff.
  • Assist in disaster recovery planning, testing, and execution.
  • Research and recommend solutions to improve network reliability, scalability, and security.
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers to resolve issues and implement services.
  • Maintain compliance with information security standards, policies, and regulatory requirements.
  • Respond to after-hours incidents and outages as required.
  • Document all support, maintenance, and project activities.
  • Perform other duties and projects as assigned.

What You’ll Bring

  • Minimum of 3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise network environments.
  • Experience with LAN/WAN design, implementation, and support.
  • Experience with network security and capacity planning.
  • Strong technical knowledge of SD-WAN technologies, Cisco switching and routing, Cisco wireless infrastructure, Palo Alto firewalls, Cisco ISE, Microsoft Azure networking, and voice and collaboration technologies.
  • Understanding of TCP/IP, BGP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and network security principles.
  • Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
  • Knowledge of network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong customer service orientation and attention to detail.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field preferred.
  • CCNA, CCNP, Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Administrator (PCNSA), or Microsoft Azure Networking certifications preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

The base salary ultimately offered is determined through a review of education, industry experience, training, knowledge, skills, abilities of the applicant in alignment with market data and other factors.
