Create and review complex quote packages including Bills of Material (BOMs), labor estimates, machine times, OSP costs, Etc. based on customer provided technical data packages (TDPs).

Compensation & Benefits

Estimated Starting Salary Range for Quote Team Engineer III: $80,000 - $90,000

Pay commensurate with experience.

Full-time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.

Quote Team Engineer III Responsibilities Include

  • Performs analysis of the quote BOM and provides corrections.
  • Interprets engineering and technical information for quote requirements.
  • Utilize CAD/CAM systems to create machining simulations for run time estimates.
  • Research/read specifications to determine data package completeness.
  • Interact with customers to obtain and or clarify technical information.
  • Read/interpret print and model data to verify internal process capabilities match.
  • Creates BOMs for quotes.
  • Calculates labor for estimates for the quoting team.
  • Obtains material pricing from suppliers for BOMs.
  • Coordinate with Supply Chain/Vendor Base to obtain Outside Process (OSP) pricing.
  • Reviews the quote package for special requirements not currently performed.
  • Interact with engineering/production/management personnel to determine manufacturing strategies.
  • Participates in discussions with customers and suppliers as required.
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned

Quote Team Engineer III Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities Requested

  • Engineering Degree and 3 to 5 years of related experience required.
  • 3D modeling software experience required.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as processing specifications, engineering drawings, and technical descriptions.
  • Ability to understand material properties.
  • Knowledge of CNC machining and sheet metal fabrication.
  • Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or verbal instructions.
  • Functional knowledge of MS Office suite, general ERP and Inventory system knowledge.
  • Advanced interpersonal, telephone, problem solving, organization, and time management skills.
  • Ability to maintain patience and a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, symbols, and geometric tolerances based on military and commercial specifications.
  • Working knowledge of specifications and requirements for commercial, military and aerospace component manufacturing that includes coatings, heat treatment, machining and sheet metal fabrications.
  • Ability to research, understand, and implement new technologies for possible cost savings and process improvements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work well with others in a team-based environment.
  • Experience working with government contracts is a plus.
  • Experience with DIBBS system a plus.
  • Must pass pre-employment qualifications of Cherokee Federal
