The Electrical Design Engineer supports the design, development, testing, and documentation of analog and digital electronic circuits used in aerospace and avionics products. Working under the guidance of senior engineers, this role participates in schematic capture, component selection, prototype testing, troubleshooting, and product verification activities.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of analog and digital circuit boards for avionics applications.
- Support component selection, circuit simulation, schematic capture, and design documentation.
- Participate in board-level testing, troubleshooting, and validation activities.
- Assist with PCB layout reviews using tools such as Altium, PADS, or Allegro.
- Support system integration and verification efforts to ensure proper product functionality.
- Collaborate with manufacturing teams to resolve production-related issues and support test activities.
- Develop and maintain engineering documentation, test procedures, and reports.
- Learn and follow structured aerospace development processes in accordance with DO-178C and DO-254 guidelines.
- Work closely with cross-functional teams including Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality, and Program Management.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related engineering discipline
- 0-3 years of experience in electronic circuit design, testing, or related engineering activities.
- Understanding of fundamental analog and digital electronics principles.
- Familiarity with schematic capture and PCB design tools.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Effective written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
- Professional experience related to aerospace, avionics, or embedded electronics, Preferred.
- Exposure to microprocessors, communication interfaces, and power supply design, Preferred.
- Familiarity with aerospace industry standards, FAA regulations, or military specifications, Preferred.
- Experience with laboratory test equipment such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and digital multimeters, Preferred.
- Basic PCB layout experience, Preferred.
- Must be able to work with ITAR products and related data without restriction.
- Restrictions are limited only by individual’s inability to perform essential job duties and where an unsafe condition would result for the individual or surrounding employees.
- Required lifting weight: 25 lbs. Lifting Frequency: Minimal.
- Sitting, standing, reaching, bending, and moving for long periods of time.
- Ability to work in a Manufacturing environment
- Requires working indoors in environmentally controlled conditions.
- Requires wearing common protective or safety equipment.
- Requires repetitive movement.
