Python Backend Developer

We're working with a premier AI and Financial Technology firm, a leader in its domain, on an exciting opportunity. This company is a fast-growing tech firm at the forefront of financial innovation, seeking to expand its highly skilled engineering team.

The Role

• Design and build cloud-native backend services using Python and FastAPI for a new Portfolio Management System.
• Integrate with Bloomberg and other market data providers to support real-time data ingestion.
• Develop scalable REST APIs and real-time services using WebSockets and event-driven architectures.
• Optimize application performance, cloud resource utilization, and system scalability within Microsoft Azure.
• Collaborate daily with client engineering leads and contribute to architecture discussions.
• Troubleshoot production issues and continuously improve application reliability.
  
  

What You'll Need

• 5+ years of backend software development experience with strong Python skills.
• Proven experience developing REST APIs using FastAPI or similar Python frameworks.
• Hands-on experience with Bloomberg API integration.
• Strong understanding of backend application architecture, distributed systems, and external API integration.
• Expertise in SQL, PostgreSQL, and designing scalable backend solutions for high-volume data.
• Experience deploying and supporting applications within Microsoft Azure or other major cloud platforms.
