Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

Job Summary

Maintenance/Manufacturing Engineer for a leading industrial manufacturer based near Cartersville, GA. This role is reponsible for developing, vetting, implementing, and verifying engineered solutions to enhance productivity and reliability of manufacturing equipment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure mechanical and electromechanical equipment and systems are designed, installed, and maintained throughout the plant
• Develop scopes of work and specifications for procurement and installation of equipment, materials, or parts
• Research and analyze data such as equipment design proposals, specifications, and manuals to determine feasibility of design and application
• Utilizes CAD software and other design and modeling tools to plan, develop, and improve mechanical parts or components
• Utilizes technical instruments to develop specifications for new parts, modifications, or prototypes
• Coordinate maintenance, and repair activities with production operations to obtain optimum utilization of machines and equipment
• Evaluate and recommend modifications to eliminate machine or system malfunctions
  
  

Required Qualificaitons

• B.S degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Must have at least one (1) year of production equipment maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
• CAD experience
• Proficiency in design and specification of mechanical components
  
  

Preferred

• Experience with hydraulics and/or steam applications
