Position Summary
The Energy Manager is responsible for planning, developing, and implementing comprehensive energy management programs across Holy Cross Health's main campus and FSED locations. This position drives sustainability, reduces utility costs, and ensures compliance with ASHRAE 170 and TJC Physical Environment standards across approximately 1.5 million sq ft of healthcare real estate.
Key Responsibilities
Energy Program Management
Education: High school diploma or GED required; Associate degree or equivalent technical training preferred Experience: 5+ years energy management; healthcare facilities strongly preferred
Licenses/Certifications: Certified Energy Manager (CEM) preferred; EPA Universal (608) preferred Technology/Tools: Tridium Niagara BAS, CMMS (Brightly Worxhub), MS Office Suite

- Develop and manage multi-year energy master plan aligned with Trinity Health sustainability goals.
- Analyze utility consumption data and identify cost-reduction opportunities.
- Administer energy budgets and prepare monthly energy dashboards for leadership.
- Oversee BAS/DDC systems (Tridium Niagara) including programming, optimization, and monitoring.
- Ensure HVAC schedules and setpoints comply with ASHRAE 170 and Joint Commission standards.
- Evaluate BAS integration requirements for capital projects including new FSED commissioning.
- Ensure compliance with TJC PE chapter, CMS CoP, ASHRAE 90.1, and NFPA 110.
- Maintain refrigerant tracking records per EPA Section 608.
- Coordinate with FPL on rebate programs and demand response initiatives.
- Present energy performance reports and recommendations to Director of Engineering.
- Serve as SME for TJC/CMS survey readiness pertaining to energy and utilities management.

- Energy analysis & utility benchmarking
- BAS/Niagara controls optimization
- TJC/CMS Physical Environment compliance
- ASHRAE 90.1, 170 & NFPA 110/99 fluency
- Capital project business case development
- Dashboard reporting & data analysis
- Stakeholder & executive communication
- Contractor & vendor management
- CMMS utilization for PM tracking
- EPA Sec. 608 refrigerant compliance
- Ability to walk and navigate a large hospital campus and FSED locations.
- Occasional climbing of ladders and access to mechanical rooms and rooftops.
- Must comply with all Holy Cross Health infection control, PPE, and safety protocols.
- May be required to respond to after-hours emergencies or critical utility failures.
